42 Stories Anthology 2

The anthology described in my previous post accepted my second 42-word micro-fiction story, this time on the theme of “Travel.” As of January 2023, the editors had reached their goal of collecting all 42 stories! A cover has been selected and if all goes according to plan, the book will be published in 2024.

My friend, John Porcino, storyteller and musician, will also have his work published in the anthology. Even better, he was selected as a “Story of Excellence Winner” under the “Clown” theme. If you have ever seen John perform, you know that this is the perfect category for him. If you don’t know him, here is an introduction) taken from his website http://www.johnporcino.com/):

Much of John Porcino’s training for his 30 years as a storyteller and singer arose while creating and participating in the zany & touching moments around a campfire – all of life, seen through a flickering firelight, surrounded by the magnificent beauty of the natural world.

These days John spins some 200 performances, workshops, and in-service trainings each year for folks of all ages. His performances are a mix of stories and songs that are sparked to life with warmth, humor, a playful touch of audience participation, and a twist of music from around the world. His workshops are playful, clear, hands-on journeys from which participants leave with real skills and enthusiasm for bringing the work into their life.

For John the arts are joyful pathways toward celebrating our common humanity and the legacy of life on our planet.”

Congratulations to John and all the writers and editors for their hard work bringing the 42 Stories Anthology to life!
